Who We Are

Our history Founded by Reverend Desire Muhindo, an African changemaker living in Alberta Canada, Global Impact with Mission Ministries Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Alberta, Canada and registered with Canada Revenue Agency. The organization aims to improve the living conditions of immigrants in Alberta, Canada and underprivileged children and families in Africa through education, employment, economic empowerment, and health promotion.

Rev. Désiré Muhindo

CEO & Founder

 

Rev. Désiré Muhindo is an

African-Canadian changemaker

with decades of ministry and

community development

experience across the Great

Lakes Region of Africa,

including Rwanda, Burundi,

DRC, and Kenya. Since

immigrating to Canada, he

founded GIMMF, a registered

Canadian charity delivering

comprehensive newcomer

support programs in Calgary

while maintaining operations in

Rwanda. His vision is to

empower newcomers and

underserved communities both

locally and internationally.

Olivia Mumporeze

Board Treasurer

 

Born in Rwanda, Olivia moved

to Calgary in 2011 and now

works with Alberta Health

Services as an Administrative

Professional. She brings strong

organizational skills, financial

acumen, and a deep

commitment to serving others.

As Treasurer, Olivia ensures

that GIMMF’s resources are

managed responsibly to create

maximum impact for

newcomers and vulnerable

populations.

Geraldine Muhindo

Board Secretary

 

A gospel artist and experienced

church leader, Geraldine has

dedicated her life to ministry

and providing support to

widows and orphans in postconflicts 

region. She brings

compassionate leadership,

organizational expertise, and a

heart for empowering

newcomer families and

vulnerable individuals.

Ombeni Kamoso

Board Member

 

Ombeni Kamoso serves as a

Board Member of the Global

Impact With Mission Ministries

Foundation (GIMMF). Born in

the Democratic Republic of

Congo and of Rwandan

heritage, he relocated to

Rwanda after 1994, dedicating

himself to church-based

initiatives supporting

vulnerable children, women,

and families. Before moving to

Canada, Ombeni continued his

community service, and since

joining GIMMF in 2021, he has

played a key role in

strengthening partnerships and

providing oversight to

programs that empower

marginalized households.

Jacques Gatsinzi

Board Treasurer

 

Originally from the DRC, Jacques

developed his leadership and

entrepreneurial skills across

multiple African countries

before arriving in Canada as a

refugee in 2017. He holds a

diploma in Network Systems

Administration and combines

his technical, cultural, and

creative talents to support

GIMMF’s initiatives. Jacques is

also a writer and mentor,

bringing passion, faith, and

practical experience to his

board role.

Ornella Fadhili

Manager, International & Local

Program Operations

 

Raised in Calgary, Ornella has

been involved with GIMMF since

her youth. She now leads

programs that support

vulnerable women and

newcomer families both locally

and internationally. With a

focus on empowerment,

dignity, and community

development, Ornella drives

initiatives that bring

measurable, positive change.

Leadership - Rwanda

Honoré Ntwari

Chair, GIMMF Rwanda

 

Honoré Ntwari manages GIMMF’s

Rwanda operations while serving as

Head of

Accounts Receivable at Transunion

Rwanda. He holds a Master’s in

Rural Development and a Bachelor’s

in Accounting and Finance from

India. Honoré brings strong

financial management, governance

expertise, and strategic vision to

GIMMF’s African programs.

Emelyne Nyampundu

Advisory Committee Member – Rwanda

 

Emelyne has extensive experience in

community organizing and program

management. She has led initiatives

supporting youth empowerment,

women’s development, and

specialized programs for blind

individuals, HIV-positive persons,

and widows. Her expertise ensures

that GIMMF’s programs are

inclusive and responsive to diverse

community needs.

Espoir Nzamurambaho

Outreach & Liaison Agent

 

Espoir, born in Kicukiro, Rwanda, is

an IT graduate and

entrepreneur, CEO of VGA Company

Ltd. He leverages his technical

expertise to bridge digital gaps

while coordinating GIMMF’s

community outreach and

engagement programs, helping

ensure that technology empowers

newcomers and youth.

Theophile Ishimwe

District Manager

 

A genocide survivor and multilingual

communicator

(English, French, Kinyarwanda,

Swahili), Theoneste holds a

Bachelor’s in Public Relations and

Communication. He combines

academic knowledge with hands-on

experience in community

engagement, coordinating

volunteers, and supporting

program implementation to

maximize impact in Rwanda.
